Morley Robertson is a musician, a writer, a well-known DJ, and a podcaster (visit his website), he and his partner Miss Kono Asako visited Taiwan to do some location hunting. They just finished their first film project and is currently preparing for the next one. You can see how much enthusiasm they have from their first film “Fumon Utagoe”. We talked about many things that day during the interview exchange; it was a great opportunity to learn from others from distant places that are doing the same things as us – podcasting.

Mr. Scott K. Oelkers，歐陽心諾先生，誰？就是電視上不停問你“達美樂！打了沒？”的那位老外。歐陽先生十九歲（1979年）就來台灣擔任摩門教傳教士，因為他的好奇心，學會不少中文，也因此有機緣在九零年初，來台灣經營達美樂披薩。該公司行銷部經理余雯玲小姐，接到我用菜英文寫的邀情函，立刻幫我們安排訪問，順便在此致謝！

Podcast Exchange

日前與兩位來自日本的朋友碰面，一位是女演員河野麻子小姐，一位是電台DJ Morley先生，兩人是Podcast節目i-morley的工作夥伴，該節目在日本訂閱率第二名，可說極具人氣。我和他們並不認識，這次見面是透過一位在政大修碩士的Sheryl Chow小姐安排的，然而我也沒見過Sheryl，幾個月前接到她的email，她當時正在做一篇關於Podcast的報告，於是用Skype向我做了一次採訪。


Morley與Sheryl下午來到我家中，Henry先用What's up in Taiwan的角度訪問了Morley先生，這段訪問將於日後推出，接著角色互換，Morley採訪了我和Henry，這段錄音已經在他們的網站上貼出了，Morley製作Podcast的方式是完全不做任何剪輯的，訪問多長就刊登多長，是一位充滿幹勁的Blogger（or podcaster?），直接、不修飾並且非常即時，要不是我家的上傳頻寬太慢，他其實已經試著在離開我家之前，就把訪問發佈出去了。

這裡有兩種完全不同的Podcast態度，可能與製作者的個性和目的都有關係。不過我對日本的網路硬體環境印象深刻，Morley先生連線讓我看他的後台管理界面，節目每天的下載次數都很清楚，Morley說從來沒有接到下載頻寬限制的電話，一個月約10元美金，他覺得很划算。

傍晚我請他們去圓山飯店用餐，白天太疲憊沒有出現的河野小姐也出席了，他們對圓山的美食贊不絕口，我又在做同樣的事情，台灣有太多的優點卻太少人知道了。

我沒有拍照的習慣，所以引用Morley拍的相片，右起：Sheryl, 河野小姐, 我, Henry於圓山飯店。

席間他們提到這次幾乎是環球旅行的目的，他們正在拍攝一部短片，會以Video Podcast的方式在網路上供人免費下載收看，為了這部短片，他們去了美國加州、紐約、摩洛哥、北京、韓國等地出外景，幾乎很難相信這是獨立製片自費拍攝的短片，我在Morley的iPod 5G上看了這部短片的初剪，的確可以看出他們付出的心血，觀賞經驗也很愉快，真不覺得螢幕太小，我得考慮Video Podcast了。

Morley還有後續的計畫，希望能結合亞洲的獨立影片製作人，互相協助尋找當地的演員、場景、幕後人員，也許有適合的題材，可以結合起來，拍出預算極低，但卻是跨國的製作，我們可以拭目以待。

我曾經做過一次What's up in Taiwan的日文訪問節目，但是一直沒有完整的計畫，所以至今遲遲未播出，受訪者還是最近很有人氣的青木由香小姐，《奇怪ㄋㄟ》一書的作者，Morley先生也希望我將節目提供給他，他願意在日本的電台節目中播出，我想對於在日本推廣台灣觀光一定有助益。

時間真的不夠用...

WuiT #015: Stuart Morrow

We met up with Stuart Morrow at "Frying Scotsman" restaurant in downtown Taipei, the plan was to talk about St. Patrick's Day since Stuart is from Northern Ireland. He thinks of himself as the kind of foreigner that loves to complain, but we actually thought he was quite nice. He is also a member of Forumosa's moderator team; which is the largest BBS site for foreigners in Taiwan. This interview talks about Taiwanese and Irish drinking culture in comparison, check it out.
Also, congratulations to Mr. Ang Lee for winning the best director's award at the Oscars, the very 1st Asian to achieve such an honor in 78 years. By the way, did we mention that he is Taiwanese?

Henry提醒我愛爾蘭聖派崔克日快到了（St. Patrick's Day 三月十七日），於是我一直想找一位愛爾蘭籍的朋友上節目，最後透由Forumosa.com的站長Gus Adapon介紹，訪問了這位Stuart Morrow先生。Stuart在假日常去爬山，他在節目中又提到了風景區的亂丟垃圾問題，我都剪掉了，因為之前的來賓也一再提過，不想重複。但是他的觀點很有趣，他說那些地方，應該都是愛爬山的人才會去地方，怎麼忍心這樣破壞？值得我們反省。

節目最後順便...用最本土的方式...向李安導演致敬。

Lisa came all the way from South Africa to teach English and made lots of friends in Taiwan during the process. She is very much a city slicker, enjoying most of her activities within a 5 block radius around the Shin-Yi district; where the Taipei 101 located, which is similar to the Fifth Ave of New York, or Ginza to Tokyo. Certainly a must-see while you are in Taipei.



Lisa在南非看了報紙廣告，就飛到台灣來當英語老師，一待就是五年。她覺得台灣交通方便、人很友善、信義商圈讓她著迷，唯一讓她有點意見的是『蹲式馬桶』，她完全不知道該面朝哪個方向蹲下。我私下問了幾個朋友，發現答案也都不一樣。
